PTSD and trauma-related presentations

This program is an important initiative of the WorkCover Tasmania Board. It has been developed on behalf of the WorkCover Tasmania Board by Phoenix Australia, in conjunction with WorkSafe Tasmania.

You will have access to contemporary, evidence-based information to assist you in supporting patients with PTSD, including those for whom PTSD is work-related. The program also provides guidance in relation to the requirements of the Tasmanian workers compensation scheme.

In this module, you will extend your knowledge of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and other trauma-related presentations. The course will help you build the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to provide comprehensive care and support throughout the treatment journey.

After completing this module, you will be able to:

• Recognise PTSD and the spectrum of trauma-related presentations in general practice.
