Self-Care in Difficult Times

About this course

We don't all participate in self-care, but many of us are becoming more conscious of the need to engage in healthy activities or positive practices to help get us through difficult times.  This course will help you recognise the impacts of challenging events on your mental health and wellbeing.  You'll also learn about practical things you can do to look after yourself, and most importantly, you'll develop your own self-care plan.

Course content

By completing this course, you will be able to:

  1. Define stress and trauma, and recognise the ways they impact mental health and wellbeing
  2. Identify the characteristics of resilient individuals and groups
  3. Select health and wellbeing strategies that build and maintain resilience, and
  4. Create a personalised self-care plan.

These last years have been difficult for most of us, and many of us feel worn down and wrung out. This short course offers anyone and everyone practical strategies to help with self-care in the months and years ahead.
